What is Narez and the Dark Magic?
Written in by PlantyHello folks it me Planty, and today let's talk about one of my creations that I have created and that creation (if you look up at the heading) is Narez and the Dark Magic, an action-adventure game based on my beautally-designed web series Narez. This game was originally in development back in before being cancelled a few months after its original date. So what is it and why am I just so happen to discuss about this game.

So... Narez and the Dark Magic involves around you guess it Narez whose her task was mostly to save the day by defeating her foes to prevent danger from spreading. Ho yay what an awesome summary plot for an amamzing designed game. So back in (two months after the first release of Narez), I was thinking how should I create my first video game since I have decided that I want to be a game developer. This is mostly because I have always love video games since I was eight year old. It's great that I get to have a great mindset for my future and passions of gaming contribute my life. I could explain more about that information is a separate article in the future so.
I somewhat decide to look for a game engine that's mostly free, easy-to-use and also, can be use on a web browser. The one that I found was Construct, an open-source game engine that I found to be useful for my new first game. So then the development of Narez and the Dark Magic began. So I began by tinkering over what controls should Narez use and her first adventure. I decide on a Mega Man-inspired moveset for Narez and a grassy field to step-onto. During development, elements from the original web series were added into the game such as Misa, a genie who first appears in the second episode. There were also elements that were created essentially for the game. While that, plans for a story path with even more new stuff was made to put into the game. So that's even more awesome, astouding and great right. Hmm not yet ... at least until something strange. Like the game was all cook up with sweet and spice until the cooking was "lazy."
So after five months of development, I had come to a conclusion that's of me being uninteresting in continuing the game because several issues has spread into its development from blandness, crunch, bad quality and worse of all, limitations. Yeah so I made the decsion to cancelled NATDM and move on to developed my second game and likely my first completed game. Using pretty much, all of the elements from NATDM and put it into this game called Triku.
